Description & Requirements

On behalf of the Met Office we are looking for a Digital Delivery Manager (Inside IR35) for a 12 month contract. Remote working with occasional travel to Exeter. 


This role is in the National Capability Tribe. National Capability Technology delivers the technology simulation and analysis capabilities that underpin our weather and climate services.

As a Digital Delivery Manager you will be accountable for the delivery of products and services.


As a Digital Delivery Manager your main responsibilities will be to:


  • Build and maintain teams, ensuring they are motivated, collaborating and working well.
  • Identify obstacles and help the team to overcome them.
  • Focus the team on what is most important to the delivery of products and services.
  • Encourage and facilitate continuous improvement of the delivery team.
  • Coach and mentor both team members and others to apply the most appropriate Agile and Lean tools and techniques.


Essential:


  • An active SC Clearance is an essential requirement for this role, as a minimum you must be willing & eligible to undergo checks. (Please note, due to the exceptional requirements of this position (short-term nature of this role and speed at which we require a postholder in situ) preference may be given to candidates who meet all of the essential criteria and hold active security clearance.) 
  • Proven experience delivering digital projects and solutions.
  • Excellent organisational and planning capabilities.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to manage and influence stakeholders effectively.
  • Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non‑technical audiences.
  • Hands‑on experience working within Agile delivery environments.
