Description & Requirements

On behalf of The Home Office, we are looking for a Business Change Management/PMO Support (Inside IR35) for a 12 month contract. This is a remote working role (flex with travel to London required on an ad hoc basis)

Job Purpose:


The Business Change Management/PMO Support for the LECP programme is responsible for supporting a wide range of project management activities to ensure the delivery of the project’s objectives. You will work closely with the Head of PMO / Programme Manager / Delivery Managers / Product Manager and wider project team.


The role will provide support to new LECP tenant and manage logistics with onboarding, ensuring that HOD’s agreed project management methods and standards are successfully implemented within the project.


The post holder will be able to assure and analyse information across the programme/ workstream to aid senior management decision taking. You will have the opportunity to develop a broad range of effective delivery skills, including knowledge in a variety of PMO techniques and tools.


SC Clearance is an essential requirement for this role, as a minimum you must be eligible and willing to undergo these checks. Please note, due to the exceptional requirements of this position (short-term nature of this role and speed at which we require a postholder in situ) preference may be given to candidates who meet all of the essential criteria and hold active security clearance. 


As a Business Change Management/PMO Support, your main responsibilities will be to:


  • Lead in PMO oversight of onboarding of new tenant to LECP, providing required support where necessary
  • Lead on RAID, Key milestones, Project reports and Dashboards, change controls and exceptions.
  • Actively own/manage SharePoint site.
  • Lead the development, monitoring, and management of Lessons Learned, including facilitating reviews.
  • Lead and take ownership over resource onboarding processes
  • Lead/Support delivery of the full suite of business change activities within the project, supporting business case benefits and outcomes.
  • Business Change products: Lead/Support the creation of the required products, defining the Business Change approach, assessing scale and scope to apply appropriate tools and methodology.
  • Change impacts: Assess change to ensure a full understanding of effects on stakeholders and enable appropriate mitigation planning.
  • Create and maintain the change plan: Driving delivery progress, monitoring and reporting through appropriate governance.
  • Identify business readiness criteria and assess readiness to Go-Live with stakeholder/s.
  • Support the identification of benefits and plan to enable for benefits realisation. Work with the project team to ensure adoption of new capabilities



Essential:


  • Having excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate technical jargon into easily understandable information.
  • Collating and interpreting data from multiple sources, providing digestible insights and reports. The skills outlined above are reflective of the specialist skills listed in the Home Office Enabling Professions Skills and Development Model.
  • Change and impacts – Creation of required Business Change products, understanding and applying Business Change principles and methodologies to address the impacts on stakeholders.
  • Change planning – Create and maintain business change plans to ensure mitigation of change impacts.
  • Business readiness – Identify, qualify, and update business readiness criteria and impacts.
