On behalf of National Savings & Investments, we are looking for a Head of Business Change for a five month contract. This is a hybrid working role (two days per month office based - London/Lytham St Annes/Durham or Glasgow).

Job Purpose:
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced business change manager with a demonstrated track record of working in large complex transformation programmes, ideally within Financial Services.
You will lead and develop a team of Business Change Managers, act as the key business change strategic partner for NS&I’s senior management team, providing expert guidance on best practice change management. In addition, you will oversee all internal programme communications working hand in hand with the Internal Communications Team and be responsible for the for the creation and maintenance of the programme’s stakeholder engagement strategies and plans.
A critical part of the role will involve shaping organisational culture. You will work across the business to understand current cultural drivers and identify how culture must evolve to embed and sustain change. Experience in delivering cultural change as a part of the business change role is essential.
As a Head of Business Change, your main responsibilities will be to:
- Provide visible and effective leadership in business change management and collaborates with the Project Manager to achieve the benefits and outcomes outlined in the business case.
- Develop a clear vision and standards, and champions best practice change management standards, tools, and processes.
- Build strong networks both internally and externally.
- Assess and understands stakeholder impact to increase the likelihood of change adoption.
- Lead the change management elements of the business case.
- Lead the creation of necessary change products for the project and engages with key contacts. Ensures these products are used appropriately by the Project Manager and the business.
- Establish and maintains the change plan for the project and provides input into the overall Project Plan.
Essential:
- Proven experience in the successful application of business change best practice, delivering positive change outcomes for colleagues in a complex transformation programme.
- Demonstrated experience in leading and motivating multi-disciplinary teams to achieve business change objectives, optimising change while minimising business impacts through effective business readiness planning.
- Proven experience in effective communications and stakeholder engagement, influencing senior stakeholders to increase advocacy for change, thus minimising the resistance to change.
- Proven experience in managing business change risks and issues, working in an agile environment, can rapidly adjust plans as required to maintain alignment to project milestones.
- Be skilled in managing teams through periods of change and maintaining stakeholder buy-in an advocacy.
- Demonstrated ability in leading cultural change in a complex transformation programme.
- Experienced in working across senior leadership teams to ascertain how culture must evolve for transformation to be a success.
- ProSci (ADKAR) practitioner plus Programme and/or project management such as MSP/PRINCE2 /Agile delivery (e.g. SCRUM / Scaled Agile)
