AMS PSR

On behalf of Network Rail, we are looking for a Senior Delivery Manager for a 6 Month contract based in Milton Keynes (3 days per week in office).

As a Senior Delivery Manager, your main responsibilities will be:

• Plans, structures, and sequences project tasks to ensure optimal delivery of outputs.
• Builds and leads strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and stakeholders to support successful outcomes.
• Leads project teams and manages suppliers, ensuring accountability for milestones, risks, changes, and delivery standards.
• Oversees budgets, resources, governance, and procurement to ensure compliance and successful delivery.
• Manages risks, drives communication and engagement strategies, and implements quality and efficiency improvements to deliver effective customer solutions.

Essential: 

• Extensive leadership experience delivering large, complex programmes, assuring project artefacts, and managing full project lifecycles across Waterfall, Agile, and Iterative methodologies.
• Strong commercial and supplier management capability, including delivery through others using contracts and exercising robust commercial acumen.
• Skilled stakeholder and people leader, experienced in managing senior stakeholder expectations, influencing others, and developing high‑performing teams.
• Highly proficient in project management practices, with expert knowledge of principles, tools, techniques, and emerging trends, supported by formal PM qualifications (e.g., APM, MSP, PRINCE2).
• Demonstrated capability in governance and risk, including financial management, forecasting, safety management practices, and knowledge of CSMs and CDM legislation.
