On behalf of MHCLG, we are looking for a HR Advisor (Inside IR35) until 31st March 2026 contract based REMOTELY.
The Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG) is a department dedicated to changing and improving lives in the UK. We support local governments and empower communities, by delivering safe, secure homes that people need. To make sure we deliver, we sponsor 14 arm’s length bodies, including Homes England, the Planning Inspectorate and HM Land Registry, which are critical to our mission.
As a HR Advisor, your main responsibilities will be:
- Keeping records up to date
- Letters
- Making sure that consultation meetings are prepped for
- Running 1-1s with affected staff if requested
- Managing data transfer
- Making sure all contractual/onboarding information is completed
- There may be the opportunity to get involved in other areas of the ALB establishment as work on the transfer ebbs and flows
Essential:
- Strong experience of staff transfers. They need to hit the ground running as they will come in as the consultation starts. I need them to know exactly what they need to be doing process wise and crack on
- Good excel skills
- Strong organisation and record keeping
- Understanding of GDPR
Please be aware that this role can only be worked within the UK and not Overseas.

ls in scope of the Off Payroll Working in the Public Sector legislation. Any rates of payment quoted will reflect the gross rate per day for the assignment and will be subject to appropriate taxes and statutory costs. As such the payment to the intermediary and your income resulting from this contract will be different".
