Description & Requirements


On behalf of National Savings & Investments, we are looking for a Modern Workplace Programme Manager (Inside IR35) for a 18 month contract which is a hybrid role so does require 2 days a week in either the London, Lytham, Durham or Glasgow offices

Working within our Enterprise Service Management Directorate you will support the Head of IT Services to deliver vital key elements of our digital transformation programme. The Programme is of critical importance and presents an opportunity for NS&I to transform its operating model to deliver business efficiencies and strategic goals.


This role will effectively technically manage and support the procurement, delivery, and transition into live operations of a new Corporate IT supplier into NS&I which will support 350 staff and around 200 consultant supporting live operations and the wider Business transformation.


This role is subject to Baseline Personnel Security Standard and financial credit checks.


As a Modern Workplace Programme Manager, your main responsibilities will be:


  • Help Technically manage the end-to-end procurement process for selecting a new IT supplier, evaluation of suppliers.
  • Providing the technical interface with the procurement team, Project manager, IT services team to ensure the procurement meet the goals of organisation to deliver a modern, cost-effective IT workplace supplier
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure technical and functional requirements for the modern IT service are met.
  • Oversee the design and implementation of workplace IT solutions from our new supplier (e.g., hardware, software, collaboration tools, endpoint management, networks, helpdesk management)
  • Ensure Suppliers setup and configure the new IT systems and support networks, including but not limited to device provisioning, network integration, and identity/access management,
  • Ensure Suppliers Implement automation and self-service capabilities to enhance user experience.


Essential Skills


  • Proven experience in delivery of technical IT workplace solutions
  • Extensive experience in the delivery of technical corporate programmes ideally within the public sector
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft 365 ecosystem, including endpoint management tools (Intune), and identity management solutions, Teams.
  • Experience with M365 security, compliance, data governance and tools like Microsoft purview
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for engaging with technical and non-technical audiences.


Please be aware that this role can only be worked within the UK and not Overseas.
