On behalf of IBCA, we are looking for a Digital Project Manager (Inside IR35) for a 6 month contract which is a hybrid role so requires up to 3 days a week in the Newcastle Office
The Digital Project Manager will be a key member of the Infected Blood Compensation Authority’s Digital Delivery ambitions, focusing on delivering the IBCA’s aims and objectives. You’ll be part of a team where your ideas are valued, your expertise is recognised and where you can enhance your project management experience. The defining aspect of this role is project delivery, balancing agility and control. We're looking for an individual who is proactive and self-motivated, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability. You’ll thrive in fast-paced, evolving digital environments, demonstrating adaptability and resilience in the face of change.
As a Digital Project Manager, your main responsibilities will be:
- Creates and leads the project to achieve agreed outcomes within time, cost, and quality constraints.
- Provides daily management and leadership of the project and team. Providing effective leadership and management controls
- Designs the project structure and organisation suitable for each stage, establishes project controls, selecting appropriate delivery methodologies, and managing transitions between project phases.
- Develops and drafts the business case, incorporating input from specialists as needed.
- Develops the budget and monitors delivery within it.
- Identifies skill requirements, deploys and develops resources, and manages a medium-sized team.
- Delivers the benefits and outcomes stated in the business case. Ensures a suitable benefits realisation strategy is in place and monitors long-term benefit delivery against the business case.
Essential Skills
- Effective leadership of leading complex projects from conception to implementation followed by continuous improvements - with experience of Digital/Systems implementations or transformation projects.
- Experience in end-to-end project management across a variety of complex projects using different delivery methodologies and frameworks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; with the ability to build and maintain excellent working relationships at a senior level.
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to maintain high performance.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritise competing demands in a challenging delivery environment while meeting tight timelines.
- Recognised project management qualifications e.g. PMI, PRINCE2, MSP, APM
