On behalf of Network Rail, we are looking for an Assurance and Capability Manager for a 6 Month contract based London or York (3 days onsite per week).

As an Assurance and Capability Manager, your main responsibilities will be:
Providing independent assessment and confirmation that projects are on track, being appropriately managed and remain aligned to objectives. Managing an effective monitoring, control and reporting system, to enable the analysis and interpretation of project & programme performance data and information, working with project and functional teams.
Reporting outcomes of reviews to all stakeholders, confirming their understanding and acceptance and agree resulting actions. Overseeing the timely and accurate reporting of assurance to delivery teams and stakeholders. We’re passionate about delivering great service and are challenging ourselves to support the achievement of this in more efficient and effective ways.
Assurance: Project Assurance seeks to provide independent and objective oversight of the likely future performance of projects. Assessing the deliverability of projects to determine whether the project is performing as expected.
P3M (Project, Programme, Portfolio): is the approach to the management of projects, programmes & portfolios, and is the method Network Rail applies to the governance and delivery of the range of projects managed across the business.
Essential:
- Good understanding of rail assurance frameworks, standards, procedures, and corporate governance, with experience in regulatory environments.
- knowledge of project processes and delivery, focused on assessing project performance and deliverability rather than managing projects directly.
- Skilled in handling and interpreting diverse data and information, drawing conclusions, making recommendations, and producing various reports.
- Experienced in engaging with project teams, managing stakeholders, influencing outcomes, and navigating challenges effectively.
- Proficient in conducting assurance reviews, evaluating project outputs, providing feedback, and supporting teams in understanding and overcoming delivery challenges.
