On behalf of the MOD, we are looking for a Benefits Manager (Inside IR35) for a 9 month contract. This is a hybrid working (two days per week office based - London).

The work really matters; the MOD offers a range of engaging roles which have a direct impact on the quality of services they provide, in many locations across the UK. We support teams working in HR, Primary Health Care, Corporate Services, and many others.
SC Clearance is an essential requirement for this role, as a minimum you must be eligible and willing to undergo these checks. Please note, due to the exceptional requirements of this position (short-term nature of this role and speed at which we require a postholder in situ) preference may be given to candidates who meet all of the essential criteria and hold active security clearance.
As a Benefits Manager, your main responsibilities will be:
- Develop a clear Benefits Strategy for VTx building upon work to date.
- Collaborate with VTx Project Team to further define and document clear, measurable benefits aligned with VTx strategic objectives and deliverables.
- Develop and maintain benefits realisation plan, ensuring they are integrated into VTx delivery plan.
- Establish baselines and metrics to measure benefits realisation, including financial and non-financial outcomes.
- Monitor and track the delivery of benefits throughout the project lifecycle.
- Identify risks and issues that may impact benefits realisation and work with stakeholders and the wider Project Team to mitigate them.
- Ensure benefits are reviewed and updated as projects evolve, maintaining alignment with organisational priorities.
- Work closely with business owners and other stakeholders to ensure accountability for benefits realisation.
- Act as a trusted advisor to VTx leadership on benefits management best practices.
Essential:
- Strong understanding of benefits management principles, frameworks, and methodologies (e.g., Managing Benefits, MSP).
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to define, measure, and track benefits effectively.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to engage at all levels of the organisation.
- Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
Desirable:
- Knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., PRINCE2, Agile)
