On behalf of UKSBS we are looking for a Content Specialist – Neo Programme (Matrix Service Design Team) for a 4 month contract on a hybrid basis (1-2 days from Swindon)
The role:
We are seeking experienced Content Specialists to lead the development of high-quality, user-centred knowledge content for the Neo platform. This role is pivotal to ensuring successful adoption of Neo across HR, Payroll, Finance, Procurement, and Customer Support functions.
As a Content Specialist your main responsibilities will be to:
- Design, structure, and maintain user support content that enables effective adoption of Neo.
- Collaborate within Agile teams alongside Service Designers, SMEs, and Product Owners to co-create content aligned with business processes.
- Apply content lifecycle management principles: draft, test, publish, review, and retire.
- Ensure content meets accessibility standards, reflects best practices, and supports agreed ways of working.
- Use digital content tools such as Confluence, SharePoint, ServiceNow, Workday, and AI-assisted authoring platforms.
- Identify opportunities to enhance user guidance and support materials.
- Provide regular updates on progress against plans and deliverables.
- Support risk management, governance, and data security within the team and broader organisation.
- Foster an inclusive, collaborative, and high-performing team environment.
- Ensure robust transition and knowledge transfer to the UKSBS Neo team, meeting all governance standards.
Essential:
- Proven experience in content design, technical writing, or knowledge management within HR, Finance, Procurement, or Shared Services.
- Experience creating content for ERP platforms; familiarity with Workday, Oracle, and SuccessFactors/SAP is advantageous.
- Demonstrated ability to produce structured, user-centred content for large system implementations (e.g., ERP, HRIS).
- Proficiency in knowledge management and digital content tools (e.g., SharePoint, ServiceNow, Workday, Confluence, AI-assisted authoring).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on clarity and user experience.
- Solid understanding of accessibility standards and content governance.
Desirable
- Experience managing document libraries, desk notes, and process maps.
- Awareness of change management principles and enhancing user experience through content.
- Experience working within a Government department or related public sector body.
