Description & Requirements
On behalf of DWP, we are looking for a Digital Performance Analyst for a 9 month (Inside IR35) hybrid contract 3 days per week based in Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds, Sheffield or Newcastle.
As a Digital Performance Analyst you deliver performance analysis that helps services to meet the Government’s Digital by Default Service Standard.
You are responsible for delivering high-quality analysis of departmental web analytics and other data in relation to digital services. The key purpose of this role is to deliver accurate and efficient performance reporting and analytical insight for the digital services that you work with.
You ensure the business understands how people are using our digital service(s) and will focus on undertaking analysis that will drive customer-centric innovations and investments to improve the user experience
Performance Measurement
- Support digital teams to understand how their service meets the user needs, supports their business case and adds value to DWP.
- Support the digital team to ensure their service meets the requirements set out in the GDS Service Standard. Working with services teams to encourage evidence driven design and iteration of their services.
- Lead on the development of performance measurement frameworks including key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Working with other DPAs and the data community to follow common practices
Analysis
- Driving out analysis requirements from digital teams in line with their success measures.
- Find and use a variety of data sources to meet analytical requirements. Including, but not limited to, Google Analytics data, Operational Data, back-end service data and MI data. C
- Carrying out quality analysis to answer questions and support decision making.
Feedback
- Reporting back performance measurement to the team and internal stakeholders
- Reporting back analyses to the team and internal stakeholders
- Synthesising insight to make clear recommendations
- Working with other DPAs and the data community to establish common practices for reporting data
Skills
- Proficiency in analysis and visualisation tools (Excel, Data Studio and similar).
- Experience of using web analytics software and tag management tools would be beneficial but isn’t essential.
- Strong SQL programming skills
- An ability to quickly pick up new software and techniques will be required.
- Security Clearance would be beneficial but isn’t essential.
Knowledge and Experience
- Understanding of web analytics, (Google or Adobe), measures
- In depth analysis and dissemination of outcomes
- Collaboration with stakeholders to use analytical insights to influence change
