Description & Requirements
On behalf of EANI, we are looking for a Finance Business Partner (Inside IR35) for a 3 months contract based Hybrid - Belfast office.
EA was established on 1 April 2015 under the Education Act (Northern Ireland) 2014. EA is a non-departmental public body sponsored by the Department of Education (DE) and the Department for the Economy (DfE), responsible for ensuring that efficient and effective primary and secondary education and educational services are available to meet the needs of children and young people, and for ensuring the provision of efficient and effective youth services.
As a Finance Business Partner, your main responsibilities will be:
- Forecast budget requirements for current and future financial years across business areas.
- Monitor actual spend against forecasts and conduct variance analysis and reviews.
- Prepare and profile salary and expenditure forecasts.
- Provide financial advice, guidance, and support to internal stakeholders.
- Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies, procedures, and controls.
- Prepare monthly financial position reports, including:
- General ledger analysis
- Completion of journals
- Accruals and prepayments
Essential:
- Strong analytical and financial modelling skills.
- Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Proficiency in financial reporting and general ledger management.
- Ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
- Knowledge of financial systems and tools (e.g., Excel, ERP systems).
- Understanding of financial governance and control frameworks.
