On behalf of EANI, we are looking for a Business Analyst (Inside IR35)  for a contract which is running until the end of March 2026 and is a hybrid role, up to 2 days a month, various sites including Antrim, Belfast, Dundonald, Armagh and Omagh


EA was established on 1 April 2015 under the Education Act (Northern Ireland) 2014. EA is a non-departmental public body sponsored by the Department of Education (DE) and the Department for the Economy (DfE), responsible for ensuring that efficient and effective primary and secondary education and educational services are available to meet the needs of children and young people, and for ensuring the provision of efficient and effective youth services.


The role supports a Preschool Standardisation Programme, which involves coordination across multiple internal teams including transport, catering, and other operational streams. The programme is complex and data-heavy, requiring structured documentation and process clarity.


As a Business Analyst, your main responsibilities will be:


  • Act as a Business Analyst to document and break down existing processes.
  • Handle large volumes of data from various sources to support decision-making.
  • Good process mapping skills to ensure alignment and progress tracking.
  • Should be confident and proactive, capable of working independently without an existing team.
  • Should bring a wealth of experience and be able to translate technical details into clear user stories.
  • Ability to guide stakeholders and ensure the programme stays on track.


Essential Skills


  • Extensive experience in BA in complex projects at great place
  • Have demonstrable experience of using a range of investigation techniques including document analysis, workshop facilitation, and analysis tools to define business problems/requirements.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement at all levels
  • Own transport is an essential requirement for this role
  • Strong self starter with a proactive approach to all duties


Desirable Skills


  • Education experience/ preschool background would be highly beneficial
