AMS PSR

On behalf of the MOD, we are looking for a Project Coordinator (Inside IR35) for an 18 month hybrid contract based 3 days p/week in Corsham.

Defence Digital provides digital and technology services to our Armed Forces, ensuring they can operate securely via radio, satellite, and the internet. Operating at scale, with an annual budget in excess of £2Bn and a diverse team of 2,500 colleagues, we're aiming to make our Armed Forces some of the most technologically advanced in the world. To do that, we're growing our capabilities in disciplines like data science, automation and cyber security.

The SATCOM SKYNET Team is responsible for the sustainment and development of the MOD's strategic, worldwide communications capability. The SATCOM Delivery Team is tasked with ensuring continuity of the required capability and its future development to satisfy the ever-increasing demand for defence communications and to defeat the growing array of sophisticated threats.

As a Project Coordinator your main responsibilities will be to:

• Manage and coordinate the enabling function and team, facilitate meetings, and improve processes.
• Provide reports and support decision-making, including Chief Engineer Boards and Forums.
• Create and maintain schedules and plans, coordinate resources, and manage support requests.
• Manage artefacts, baseline documentation, and configuration control.
• Identify and monitor risks, assumptions, issues, dependencies, and opportunities; develop mitigation actions.
• Coordinate and monitor change management, document changes, and oversee Requests for Change.

You'll have:

• Demonstrable Project Management environment experience, including Risk & Change management.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency across MS Suite, specifically Excel, Forms and SharePoint. (Some knowledge of Power BI would be useful but not essential)
• A recognised Project Management qualification.
• Ideally, some Defence Industry experience.
• SC Clearance is an essential requirement for this role, as a minimum you must be willing & eligible to undergo checks. Please note, due to the exceptional requirements of this position (short-term nature of this role and speed at which we require a postholder in situ) preference may be given to candidates who meet all of the essential criteria and hold active security clearance.
