On behalf of Network Rail, we are looking for a Senior Finance Business Partner for a 6 month contract based in Glasgow 3 days per week

As a Senior Finance Business Partner, your main responsibilities will be:
- Provide expert financial guidance and oversight, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and enabling sound business decisions through accurate reporting, forecasting, and risk analysis.
- Critically review financial results and forecasts, identifying risks, opportunities, and efficiencies to minimise financial and legal impacts on the business.
- Lead the development and management of budgets and business plans, using deep understanding of cost and income drivers to support delivery of strategic objectives.
- Influence and challenge senior budget holders, helping them understand financial performance and make informed decisions within budgetary constraints.
- Drive cost-saving initiatives and efficiency improvements, proactively reviewing budget submissions and advising on innovative financial strategies.
- Collaborate with senior leaders on investment decisions and new business opportunities, using financial insight to enhance performance and governance.
Essential:
- Qualified ACA, ACCA CIMA, CIPFA or Equivalent
- Extensive Finance Business Partnering Experience
- Good stakeholder engagement and relationship Building skills
- Forecasting and Budgeting experience
- Analytical skills Excel mainly
- Governance and Oversight
