Description & Requirements

On behalf of UKRI, we are looking for a Finance Assistant (Inside IR35) for a 3 months contract based in Didcot.

As a Finance Assistant, your main responsibilities will be:


  • Manage and process invoices accurately and efficiently.
  • Compile and report timesheets to ensure timely payroll processing.
  • Assist with managing and responding to inbox enquiries promptly.
  • Support the month-end closing process, ensuring all financial activities are completed.
  • Gather and analyze data to support financial decision-making.
  • Perform various finance administrative tasks to support the finance team.


Essential:


  • Demonstrated experience in finance administration, including invoicing, data collection, and month-end processes.
  • Proficient in using IT tools and accounting systems to enhance financial operations.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact effectively with team members and stakeholders.


Desirable:


  • Working towards a bookkeeping or accountancy qualification.
