On behalf of AWE we are looking for a SeniorSupplier Operations Specialist (Inside IR35) for a 18 Month contract based Reading/Aldermaston

AWE plays a crucial role in national nuclear security. Their role in nuclear deterrence and their specialist technical assistance to nuclear threat reduction is vital in the defence against the most serious threats faced by the UK. Working to support the defence of our country, AWE has a clear mission to keep everyone, the environment, their products and information, sites, and everything around them, safe and secure.

Provide specialist support to Supply Chain Management and AWE Demanders in regard to supplier onboarding, management, governance and reporting in the Business System (Fusion).

As a Senior Supplier Operations Specialist , your main responsibilities will be:

• Management of approved suppliers including maintaining supplier records and due diligence activities
• Advising SCM and AWE Demanders on the appropriate question sets to be included in procurement activities and supplier onboarding.
• Supporting the management of allocated supplier relationships
• Ensuring Fusion housekeeping is maintained to ensure the accuracy of supplier data
• Developing and maintaining working relationships and awareness with key internal stakeholders.
• Maintain and promote high personal standards in environment, safety, health, security and quality and be a great team player.

Essential:

• Supply chain management and processes
• Stakeholder management
• Experience of using SaaS (Software as a Service) products
• SC (Security Clearance) or candidates willing/eligible to be put through SC by client

Desirable:

• Experience of using JAGGAER/Ariba/CEMAR systems is highly desirable
• Oracle
• AWE experience
• Nuclear/defence background/knowledge
