Description & Requirements

On behalf of AWE, we are looking for a Change & Transformation Manager (Outside IR35) for a 12-month contract. This is a remote based contract (flexibility required for travel to Reading on an as and when basis).

What if you could work on something that you can’t test… but cannot afford to fail? Something that could have spent years on a submarine, is launched into outer space (where the temperature is below -250c), comes hurtling through the atmosphere, being heated up and shaken and then must work? Some challenge. That’s exactly what the team of over 6,500 people at AWE do every day delivering important work, in support of the most important mission – keeping the nation safe.

AWE plays a crucial role in national nuclear security. Their role in nuclear deterrence and their specialist technical assistance to nuclear threat reduction is vital in the defence against the most serious threats faced by the UK. Working to support the defence of our country, AWE has a clear mission to keep everyone, the environment, their products and information, sites, and everything around them, safe and secure.

As a Change & Transformation Manager, your main responsibilities will be:

  • Collaborating to design change management activities in the programme and managing delivery, using a structured methodology.
  • Applying the company change process and tools to the allocated projects and initiatives.
  • Establishing and implementing the mechanisms by which benefits can be delivered and measured.
  • Build effective stakeholder relationships and manage their expectations to meet underlying business needs.
  • Working with the business to optimise the timing, scale and method of releasing programme and change deliverables into business operations.
  • Actively seeking feedback from affected areas of the business and using this to inform future approaches to change management.
  • Ensuring that the affected business areas are supported through transition phases and that activities and measures are in place to reinforce new ways of working.
  • Assisting in maintaining a change network for the Finance Transformation programme
  • Supporting, drafting and releasing change related comms and providing feedback from across the business.
