On behalf of DWP, we are looking for a Reporting Analyst for a 12 Months (Inside IR35) contract-based Hybrid/ in Leeds/Newcastle/Blackpool/Sheffield/Glasgow.
The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) is responsible for welfare, pensions, and child maintenance policy. As the UK’s biggest public service department, it administers the State Pension and a range of working age, disability and ill health benefits to around 20 million claimants and customers. As a Reporting Analyst, your main responsibilities will be:
- Support the day-to-day running of the Systems & Data team by ensuring the effective delivery of BAU reporting and data functions, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to align with DWPE’s data strategy.
- Gather and document business requirements from various departments, ensuring that report design and implementation meet the needs of the DWP Estates business.
- Engage with stakeholders to understand their reporting needs and translate these into actionable data requirements, ensuring that all reporting outputs are accurate and timely.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive reporting frameworks that support BAU processes, including the creation of dashboards and regular performance reports to monitor key metrics.
- Collaborate with IT and data engineering teams to ensure that data systems are designed and implemented to support business requirements, including data integration and workflow automation.
- Provide training and support to end-users on the use of reporting tools and systems, ensuring that they can effectively utilize the data to make informed business decisions.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of reporting processes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance data accuracy and reporting efficiency.
- Support in the development of new reporting initiatives that support strategic business objectives, working closely with senior management to ensure alignment with overall business goals.
- Building effective relationships with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
Essential:
- Extensive experience in supporting BAU business processes through effective reporting, requirements gathering, and stakeholder engagement.
- Knowledge of estates, facilities management, and associated services is a significant advantage, as it will enable you to understand and address the specific needs and challenges related to asset maintenance and operational efficiencies.
- Proficiency in PowerBI (or other data visualisation tools) along with previous experience of data platforms is highly desirable.
- Relevant and strong data-related experience, including data analysis & data integration.
- Proven track record of engaging with stakeholders to gather and document business requirement.
- Experience in providing training and support to end-users on reporting tools and systems, enabling them to effectively utilize data for informed business decision.
- Strong stakeholder management skills.
- Familiarity with the suite of MS Office products, including the use of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams.
