Description & Requirements


On behalf of The Ministry of Justice, we are looking for a Organisational Design Delivery Manager (Inside IR35) for a 12 month contract based remotely but does Include up to 2 days a week in the London office


The Ministry of Justice (MoJ) priorities include improving public safety and reducing reoffending by reforming prisons, probation and youth justice, and building a justice system which makes access to justice swifter and more certain for all citizens whatever their background. Project professionals in the MoJ help to improve the government’s ability to protect the public and reduce reoffending, and to provide a more effective, transparent and responsive criminal justice system for victims and the public.


The Synergy Programme Synergy is a programme covering 4 Government departments and will demonstrate value for money by:


  • Reducing the per employee costs across technology.
  • Reducing the costs of the operational management of shared services.
  • Reducing the costs of ongoing change.
  • Improving the transparency and accuracy of supplier payment.


As an Organisational Design Delivery Manager, your main responsibilities will be:


  • Lead the MoJ contribution to the Synergy programme
  • Ensure that the department’s voice is reflected in the four-department design and that business change is managed effectively, planned and implemented through close collaboration with functional and operational leaders across the organisation.
  • Lead the transparent and effective engagement across the organisation to capture and sign off departmental pain points, challenges and red lines ahead of host designate decision and design
  • Work directly to the FSSO design lead and will report into the programme board on project progress.
  • Project KPIs will be monitored at board and working level


Essential Skills


  • Extensive experience at programme management level ideally within central government
  • Experience with the Implementation of the Oracle system ideally with a government department
  • Extensive experience across stakeholder engagement with a focus on challenging stakeholders
  • Organisational design skills and knowledge
  • Strong self starter, work as part of a busy dynamic team


Please be aware that this role can only be worked within the UK and not Overseas.
