On behalf of AWE, we are looking for a Senior Procurement Manager (Inside IR35/PAYE) for a 18 Month contract based In London 1 day a week with very occasional trips top Aldermaston.

As a Senior Procurement Manager, your main responsibilities will be:

• Develop and implement procurement strategies for procuring logistics partners, balancing short and long-term objectives to meet business goals and efficiencies.
• Execute complex sourcing activities, including RFx processes, supplier evaluation, contract negotiation, and handover, ensuring compliance with policies and ethics.
• Manage contracts effectively, ensuring commercial value and compliance with terms and conditions.
• Manage key suppliers, including segmentation, risk identification, performance monitoring, and value development.
• Engage stakeholders in procurement strategies, sourcing activities, and supplier management, sharing relevant information and performance metrics.
• Provide input to process and performance teams, support the Service Centre, and demonstrate positive behaviors in line with company standard

Essential:

• Pre-Contract Procurement Experience
• Proven experience in procuring logistics partners, with a focus on end-to-end procurement processes, especially pre-contract activities
• Extensive experience within infrastructure/construction environments, particularly with NEC 3/4 contracts.
• Strong skills in managing relationships with stakeholders at all levels, ensuring effective communication and problem-solving.

Desirable:

• Active Sc Clearance or willing and eligible to get SC cleared
• Public sector would be more desirable due to governance but will consider candidates within Private

SC Clearance is an essential requirement for this role, as a minimum you must be willing & eligible to undergo checks.  Please note, due to the exceptional requirements of this position (short-term nature of this role and speed at which we require a postholder in situ) preference may be given to candidates who meet all of the essential criteria and hold active security clearance.
