Description & Requirements


On behalf of Network Rail, we are looking for a Performance Analyst (Inside IR35) for a 6-month contract based remotely but does Include a minimum of 2 days a week in the Cardiff office, please note 1 of the days is Thursday.

As a Performance Analyst, your main responsibilities will be:


  • Specify, collect and present key performance data and analysis.
  • Maintaining database in the background and driving a number of power BI repots off the database
  • Ensure timely, consistent and accurate data collection.
  • Building reports – periodic business report & other reports
  • Support service managers in ensuring their service meets performance requirements.
  • Liaise with Stakeholders to gather, review and resolve anomalies or gaps.
  • Draft and own terms of reference and define roles of board members.
  • Keep log of board decisions, owners and updates and analyse data to present at relevant boards.
  • Work with risk manager and risk owners to report risks.
  • Work with the change manager and Project Manager to provide data for Change Control requests.
  • Advise the project on correct processes and lead the lessons learned process.
  • Assurance duties


Essential Skills


  • Extensive experience in relation to Power BI for data analysis and reporting
  • Strong data analysis experience in a busy department and team
  • Stakeholder engagement at all levels
  • Microsoft office suite Including excel to an advanced level
  • Analysis of data for reports
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong self starter
