AMS PSR

On behalf of GLD, we are looking for a Paralegal (Inside IR35) for a 2 Month Hybrid contract in London, with the possibility of extension.

The post-holder will report to a lawyer but will support all the Division’s lawyers based on workload and resource availability. The role involves handling a varied workload under appropriate supervision.

As a Paralegal your main responsibilities will be:

• Supporting the Division’s advisory and litigation functions by providing legal research and administrative support across various workstreams.
• Conducting legal research, analysis and drafting on topics including international trade and investment law matters, as well as Bills and secondary legislation.
• Reviewing Memoranda of Understanding and Trade Agreement texts.
• Supporting knowledge management and information-sharing processes, including:
  • Supporting the Government Legal Department’s International Trade and Investment Law Centre of Excellence based at DBT Legal;
  • Collating and disseminating legal know-how and updates from a range of sources;
  • Contributing to the Division’s bank of guidance and knowledge management notes, including creating, editing and uploading content;
• Assisting with external legal engagements, including:
• Supporting the Trade Law Panel Coordinator on procurement matters.
• Organising meetings, taking minutes, analysing data, drafting reports and presentations.
• Providing organisational support to legal teams.
• Contributing to corporate objectives and fostering an inclusive, positive working environment.
