On behalf of the Cabinet Office, we are looking for a DevOps Engineer (Inside IR35) for a 3 Months contract based REMOTELY.
The Cabinet Office supports the Prime Minister and ensures the effective running of government. The Cabinet Office is also the corporate headquarters for the government, in partnership with HM Treasury, and takes the lead in certain critical policy areas. As a DevOps Engineer your main responsibilities will be:
- You will manage and optimise AWS resources, including EC2 for scalable computing, CloudFront for content delivery, and WAF and ALB for securing and load-balancing applications.
- You will design and implement VPC networks to ensure secure and efficient communication between services. Your expertise with Terraform will be critical in automating infrastructure provisioning and deployments, while your experience with Docker and ECR will support containerised application deployment.
- Additionally, you will construct and manage code pipelines to automate testing, integration, and deployment processes, contributing to a streamlined development workflow.
Essential:
- Proficient in Amazon Web Services (AWS) and has extensive experience with services such as EC2, CloudFront, WAF, ALB, VPC, and ECR.
- The ideal candidate will have a robust understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and experience in building and maintaining code pipelines for continuous integration and deployment.
- In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of our cloud infrastructure, while implementing best practices for security and operational efficiency.
Please be aware that this role can only be worked within the UK and not Overseas.
