On behalf of the Cabinet Office, we are looking for a M365 Engineer Inside IR35for a 6 month contract based REMOTELY.
The Cabinet Office supports the Prime Minister and ensures the effective running of government. The Cabinet Office is also the corporate headquarters for the government, in partnership with HM Treasury, and takes the lead in certain critical policy areas. As a M365 Engineer, your main responsibilities will be:
Essential:
Essential criteria:
•Proven experience in configuring and managing Microsoft 365 services in large-scale, enterprise environments.
•Expertise in Microsoft Defender, Purview, Sentinel, and Azure Active Directory.
•Strong understanding of identity and access management for large user bases
•Hands-on experience with the Microsoft Blueprint for the UK Government, Cyber Assessment Framework and Secure by Design.
•Experience in developing and maintaining HLD, LLD, DD, and baseline configuration documentation.
•Track record of successful cloud migrations, ideally from Google Workspace to Microsoft 365.
•Familiarity with Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI.
•Knowledge of integrating and implementing AI-powered solutions like Microsoft Copilot.
•Advanced knowledge of Microsoft security and compliance tools.
•Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to designing and implementing innovative solutions.
•Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Desirable criteria:
•Experience working within or with government departments or other highly regulated sectors.
•Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools for Microsoft environments.
•Familiarity with hybrid cloud models and multi-cloud strategies.
•Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert, Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals, or equivalent
