On behalf of the MOD, we are looking for a Cost Modeller (Inside IR35) for a 6 months contract based 2-3 days a week in Corsham

Cost Model Estimating lead and Recharging Lead for the Digital Foundry
As a Cost Modeller, your main responsibilities will be:
- You will provide Subject Matter Expert (SME) advice and guidance on Cost Estimating, ensuring robust quality estimates are provided to inform decision making by Senior Management.
Day-to-day estimating activities will be varied and will include but not limited to:
- Development and maintenance of Assumptions and Basis of Estimate;
- Financial Treatments;
- Data collection & Normalisation;
- Application of Estimating Methodologies;
- Estimating Uncertainty;
- Probability & Statistics;
- Cost Risk Analysis;
- Economic Analysis;
- Stochastic Modelling including Model Build;
- Data analytics including
- Cost Driver Analysis;
- Sensitivity Analysis; and
- Scenario Analysis.
Broader activity will also include:
- Close engagement with project staff
- Engagement with external stakeholders including Scrutiny.
- Support to PCR process
- Maintenance of Models in the live service environment.
- Quality Assurance including Verification & Validation of Cost Models.
- Continued development of recharging models for Foundry Services and supporting instructions.
- Generation of financial MI to support recharging of Foundry Services to TLBs either through Direct or Indirect Billing.
- Co-ordination of indirect billing (financial journals) once recharging values have been agreed between project team and TLBs.
- Monthly reconciliation of recharging and input into the monthly forecast reviews.
Essential:
- Qualified or Part Qualified Accountant
- Cost Modelling Experience
- Building Robust cost models in line with standard set but the Cost Analysis Assurance Services (CAAS).
- Cost Modelling for approvals
- Strong Excel skills
- Strong Stakeholder Management and Collaboration skills
- Willing and Eligible to be SC cleared

- MOD Experience
