AMS PSR

On behalf of National Crime Agency, we are looking for a Scrum Master Inside IR35 for a 12 months contract based hybrid London.

SC Clearance is an essential requirement for this role, as a minimum you must be willing & eligible to undergo checks. Please note, due to the exceptional requirements of this position (short-term nature of this role and speed at which we require a postholder in situ) preference may be given to candidates who meet all of the essential criteria and hold active SC clearance. 

We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master / Agile Coach to join the National Crime Agency's Project KEENNESS, a high-profile programme focused on disrupting Organised Immigration Crime through the use of AI, technology and innovative software solutions.

Working within the National Cyber Crime Unit (NCCU), you will play a key role in driving the delivery of critical software capabilities, acting as the bridge between intelligence stakeholders and technical delivery teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day delivery activities of Agile software development teams.
• Work closely with Intelligence teams to gather, refine and prioritise requirements.
• Translate business and operational requirements into actionable technical work items and user stories.
• Manage and maintain team backlogs, sprint planning and delivery roadmaps.
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies including stand-ups, sprint reviews and retrospectives.
• Monitor delivery performance and communicate progress, risks and issues to stakeholders.
• Remove blockers and drive continuous improvement across delivery teams.
• Foster collaboration, engagement and psychological safety within development teams.
• Champion Agile best practices and ensure a focus on quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Support knowledge transfer and upskilling of permanent staff.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a Scrum Master, Agile Coach or Agile Delivery Manager.
• Strong understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies.
• Experience leading software delivery teams in complex environments.
• Ability to translate stakeholder requirements into technical deliverables.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Experience managing risks, dependencies, priorities and delivery timelines.
• Ability to work independently and drive outcomes in fast-paced environments.
• Track record of building collaborative relationships across multiple teams.
