On behalf of the MOD, we are looking for a Finance Manager Efficiency Lead (Inside IR35) for a 6 months contract based 2-3 days per week in Corsham

Finance Lead for Efficiency / Financial Benefit Governance across Defence Digital
As a Finance Manager Efficiency Lead your main responsibilities will be:
- Lead for all guidance relating to the reporting, tracking, and terminology relating to Financial Benefits.
- Lead for the development and re-release of the Digital Financial Benefit Guidance Document.
- Lead for setting up the Digital Efficiency TeamSite as a one-stop shop for all Defence Digital Efficiency information.
- Secretariate for the Digital Efficiency Committee ensuring that slides are developed and issued prior to the quarterly calls, and minutes and actions are recorded, and all actions are completed.
- Co-ordination of Benefits Handshakes with TLBs (where efficiencies are delivered outside of Defence Digital), ensuring that agreements are in place at each respective Maturity Level.
- Ensuring that internal Defence Digital efficiencies over £1M are supported by documented evidence (the Benefit Statement).
- Consolidation of the financial benefit position, which includes engagement with programmes across DD to develop of robust financial benefit forecast and ensure benefits have appropriate Maturity Levels and Risk Adjustments in line with the Defence Benefit Framework.
- Co-ordination of the quarterly reviews of Digital financial benefits with TLBs prior to formal quarterly submission.
- Ensure the financial benefits (pipeline and delivered) are correctly reported within financial forecast reviews (in-year and ABC), with benefits when moving from ML3 to ML4 are recorded in the financial system.
- Lead for the continued development of financial benefit reporting, including transition on to the new corporate benefit tool (the BMA), and future one-stop shop financial benefit tool.
- Lead for ensuring that Strategic Risk 7 is reviewed and agreed monthly with the Fin Dep Head and is updated in line with timelines to inform the DDMB
Essential:
- Qualified or part Qualified Accountant
- Background in Financial Management or Similar relevant experience
- Forecasting and Budgeting Skills
- Good Financial Reconciliation skills
- Good at explaining complex information
- Strong Excel skills
- Good PowerPoint skills producing slides for management meetings
- Strong Stakeholder Management and Collaboration skills
- Willing and Eligible to be SC cleared
Desirable:
- Power BI
- MOD experience
