AMS PSR

On behalf of The Ministry of Justice, we are looking for a Commercial Manager x2 (Inside IR35) for a 9-month hybrid contract, with 3 days working in the office in London and the remainder working from home.

The Ministry of Justice (MoJ) priorities include improving public safety and reducing reoffending by reforming prisons, probation and youth justice, and building a justice system which makes access to justice swifter and more certain for all citizens whatever their background. Project professionals in the MoJ help to improve the government’s ability to protect the public and reduce reoffending, and to provide a more effective, transparent and responsive criminal justice system for victims and the public.

As a Commercial Manager, your main responsibilities will be:

• Contract administration of a range of construction and professional service contracts, including developing and managing variations/change control and other contract mechanisms
• Use electronic sourcing and management systems appropriately to ensure all commercial decisions are evidenced
• Lead construction competitions and ensure that procurement projects deliver measurable value for customers.

Essential:

• Knowledge and experience of industry contracts. Eg. PPC 2000 and NEC suite of contracts.
• Relevant Construction contract, sourcing and commercial management experience with a solid understanding of procurement processes
• Previous experience of working with Jaggaer
• Qualification in a member of one of the professional bodies CIPS, IACCM, RICS, CIBSE or BIFM 

Desirable:

• A proven track-record working in the construction procurement environment.
• A working knowledge of public procurement legislation
• Good working knowledge and experience of Procurement systems (e.g.Oracle and/or Bravo) and file management systems (e.g. 4Projects/Viewpoint)
