On behalf of DWP, we are looking for a Digital Project Manager for a 9 Month (Inside IR35) contract based in Manchester or Blackpool (Hybrid).
The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) is responsible for welfare, pensions, and child maintenance policy. As the UK’s biggest public service department, it administers the State Pension and a range of working age, disability and ill health benefits to around 20 million claimants and customers. - Help people to move into work and support those already in work to progress, with the aim of increasing overall workforce participation

- Provide effective, efficient, and innovative services to the millions of claimants who rely on us every day, including the most vulnerable in society
- Improve experience of our services while maximising value for money for the taxpayer.

Description:
Support is required on the Fraud and Error CFC OPS team. Primary focus will be on:
Delivery of Counter Fraud Compliance & Debt [CFCD] work programme items - helping business colleagues to define and validate requirements; often starting from a blank piece of paper in terms of progressing information source access requirements/solution design options and complex network engagement; or bespoke hardware requests. The role requires major engagement/Lead with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders – typically; Architecture, Security, Networks, Commercials, Finance and Digital Workplace Tech Services; along with Other Government Departments and Law Enforcement Agencies/External Providers.
Knowledge/Experience Required:
- Able to work at pace, delivering multiple complex requirements/projects concurrently, with the ability to motivate internal and external partners, peers and stakeholders to deliver as required.
- Be well versed in different project management tools and techniques and know when to apply the right one. Be adept at spotting project risks and blockers and work at removing or acting upon them.
- Be a creative and effective planner – both internal and external to team – optimising speed to market, value and quality
- Able to solve or escalate issues quickly and effectively, identifying themes and help the team learn from experience. Have experience of procurement, commercial and supplier management.
- Demonstrate ability to adjust quickly to changing priorities and conditions and to cope effectively with complexity and change.
