Description & Requirements

On behalf of The Department for Transport, we are looking for a Recruitment Co-Ordinator - (Inside IR35) for a 3 month contract working on a hybrid basis and with an expectation of flexible 3 days attendance in the Birmingham, Swansea, Hastings or Leeds offices

This role will provide essential coordination and administrative support to the department’s

internal resourcing and workforce management activities.


The postholder will be responsible for

  • Managing internal Expressions of Interest (EOI) processes,
  • Acting as a key point of contact for hiring managers, and ensuring that data related to Restructure, Redeployment and Redundancy (RRR) is accurate, timely, and complete.


The role supports our commitment to an internal-first resourcing approach and contributes to the department’s ability to deploy people flexibly, efficiently, and in line with workforce priorities.


As a Recruitment Co-Ordinator - (Inside IR35)  your main responsibilities will be:

  • Working with the Resourcing Lead to ensure recruitment policies and processes are adhered to monitor and track progress of recruitment campaigns and onboarding processes, identifying issues and working proactively to mitigate delays using the customer records management system complete tasks to progress recruitment campaigns, such as advertising vacancies
  • Updating and quality assurance of vacancy records in line with the departments data reporting policy
  • Emailing hiring managers with updates and instructions to ensure key recruitment milestones are met


Essential:

  • Recruitment / HR experience within the Public Sector
  • Experience of providing administrative support in a busy office environment, including managing shared inboxes and responding to queries and requests
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with experience of managing competing priorities and deadlines
  • Excellent accuracy and attention to detail
  • Experienced user of Microsoft 365 package, including Word, Outlook and Excel


Desirable:

  • Experience using digital systems like applicant tracking systems and customer record management systems or similar
